Planet Ripple is a series of graphic novels set thousands of years in the future at the end of a massive global flood. It's a story about living with disabilities, humanized through characters like Minnow.
This first volume (originally released in 2017) covers Minnow's struggles with loss and first steps into a wider world still in flux, with ruthless cyborg pirates, empathetic merfolk, and gargantuan, city-sized ships abound.
About 150 pages in length. Recommended for preteens and higher.

I finally began this series & what a wonderful world I've been missing out on all this time! I really love Minnow as a character and the gradual change of the Balena from the imposing and claustrophobic abode (well, a prison) to a place that still sucks, but at least (or at last?) there are some safe spaces.
And coming down from injury and a brief illness, Log 3 - Healing especially resonated with me, as Minnow drew the first fresh breath of air in the sun since who-knows-when.
Stellar stuff, but now onto the next volume!
